Obituary-Jackson Chibuye

On behalf of the Botswana Institute of Accountants, we would like to express our condolences to the family of our colleague Mr Jackson Chibuye, a former employee of First National Bank of Botswana.

We are indeed shocked by his untimely death.Mr Chibuye joined the Institute in 1991 as an Associate Member. Mr Chibuye worked for PWC as an Audit Senior from 1988 to 1991 and later joined the Financial Services Company of Botswana as Finance and Administration Manager from January 1990 to 1993.He later proceeded to First national Bank which took over the operations of the Financial Services Company as a Manager-Statutory. He was later promoted to the Head of Governance and Compliance until he met his untimely death.

His death is not only a loss to his immediate family and First National Bank of Botswana but to the Accountancy profession and the country as a whole.

May his soul rest in peace.
